I’m actually horrified that someone – at a moment that we’re there to remember those heroes who fell for all of us to enjoy the freedoms that we do today – launch some sort of political argument about illegal migration.

I think it is important that as a country we face up to the horrors of the past but also, more importantly, that we make sure it never happens again.

Now that might mean difficult decisions, but we will do as the Home Secretary has said, whatever it takes to close these hotels, get a grip of our borders, and fix the asylum system and we will do that.
