Gavin Robinson: “The open, porous border with Ireland should be closed.”

We can’t have a situation where people who have the privilege of holding high office in Northern Ireland so flagrantly disregard the pledge of office and statutory underpinnings of their office.

“These decisions are a mistake, and send profound signals that the country should be run on force of numbers and who shouts the loudest.”

The decision of the Chief Constable to refer the matter to the Secretary of State and his conclusion that the parade cannot proceed is a direct result of republican agitation, mobilisation and the looming threats of potential violence.

A political title is not a shield and no-one is above the law.
