Beyond the fact that the closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem - occupied Palestinian territory - is not in Israel's prerogative, it is yet another attempt by this far-right Israeli government to block a two-state solution.

We should just say, well, of course we will provide the parts that will be put into this chain, but they are not to be used on any plane that is being sent to Israel.

What we could do is the same as the Dutch have done, which is they provide parts of the F-35s, and what you have to do is send the parts off to America, and America use those parts to build the F-35.

Now is the time to act. We can’t put it off any longer. We have to stop saying, ‘Oh, isn’t it difficult?’ and just get on with it.

The UK government has let down the Palestinian people and Israel’s sense of impunity is staggering.
