David Lammy: “I am immensely proud of what we achieved, in Opposition and in Government.”

I have the honour to say that His Majesty the King has accepted our advice to grant Ruth Ellis a conditional pardon – the last woman to be hanged.

That's why I'm reforming archaic rules, so couples have more freedom to say 'I do' on their own terms, while strengthening safeguards to protect the meaning and permanence of marriage.

So I think in office we did a lot, but clearly those initial steps were problematic.

Well, can I commend my honourable friend for the difference that he's made, including his hard work to bring pride of place funding to his constituency.
