Dave Doogan: “The only thing that has fallen under Andy Burnham is living standards.”

The key point I was making, albeit clumsily, is that the SNP will demand Scotland’s democratic right to choose our own future is respected, regardless of who is in government at Westminster.

Andy Burnham’s promises are being broken or deferred for a decade – whether it is cost of living support or defence, we need urgent action now.

Burnham must wake up and take action now rather than issue more of these vague jam tomorrow promises.

His decision to vote down reforms this week looked weak then, it looks horrendous now – we need a full U-turn from the Labour Party and a review into Westminster donations.
