A Scottish Labour Party I lead will hold the SNP to account, oppose these cuts and seek a fairer funding settlement for local government.

In this moment of renewal for our party, we must restate that purpose. But we also have to listen. We have to learn. And we have to change.

The reality is that for six Scottish Parliament elections in a row now our party has gone backwards and that should be telling every single person who cares about what the Scottish Labour Party stands for something very important.

The leader gets, in the end, the manifesto that they want.
