Women’s health was systematically neglected in Scotland.

For me politics is about improving people’s lives: creating better jobs, strengthening public services, expanding opportunities for young people and rebuilding trust among people who feel politics has stopped listening to them.

The promise of our Scottish Labour Party is that we build a better, more equal nation, and we leave it as a legacy for our children.

That situation was entirely unacceptable.
