The launch of this consultation is an important milestone. The mansion tax will raise vital funds for schools, libraries and other local services, while helping to respond to Scotland's housing emergency.
We may not have had the funding of the SNP or Labour who threw money at the seat, but we had hundreds of members and supporters who ran a really positive and effective ground campaign and who backed us with small donations.
People across Edinburgh Central were looking for change and for hope and that's what we were offering.
