These figures are a huge credit to Scotland’s food and drink producers who continue to tower above anything else on these islands.

The lesson for Labour couldn’t be clearer: if your message is meaningless and your leader is uninspiring, spending more money just means more people see your problems.

Scotland’s food and drink sector is still levels above our neighbours despite the barriers put in our way, but through a fresh start with independence, we could remove those barriers and truly unleash our global potential.

No amount of money could cover up the fact that Labour has nothing meaningful to say about the challenges facing Scotland.
