Given the significance of this situation and the impact on staff, I wanted to bring all parties together to make clear that I expect negotiations between the council and unions to continue so that a collective agreement can be reached and bring an end to discriminatory pay practices.

There is no doubt that our constitutional future is the dominant question of these islands.
It would be remiss of me not to mention that in Scottish Government we have been able to reduce the core workforce by 12.7% since March of 2022.
