No government that genuinely believes in peace, human rights and international law should threaten the mass slaughter of civilians, putting our own communities at risk whilst lining the pockets of arms traders.

I do think it’s important though that the movement has space to discuss those because that route is very important to some people who are already on the Yes side.

Their presence on the ballot has clearly confused voters over multiple elections which has been evident in the results.

We’ve had a lot of discussion over several years about mechanisms and how we get there [to independence] and we know that generally those conversations don’t inspire those who might be on the fence or soft no voters.
