Hiroshima showed the world the horrifying reality of nuclear warfare - the destruction of a city and the mass killing of innocent civilians.

Families across Scotland are feeling the strain on their budgets. They have been promised free childcare when their little ones turn three, but most councils are not providing it from that point.

The Scottish Government should never have been funding these war profiteers in the first place, and the Scottish Greens will do all we can to ensure that they never do again.

An independent Scotland can sign the anti-nuclear treaty and be a country where the lessons of Hiroshima are reflected with a firm and steadfast commitment to peace and nuclear disarmament.
