Britain has phenomenal talent – people bursting with ideas and energy, an entrepreneurial spirit and potential that needs unlocked and unleashed.

Honestly, hand on heart – because I’ve done it for five years – the hardest job in British politics is being the leader of the Scottish Labour Party.

People have the right to raise legitimate concerns, but violence, racism and disorder have no place in Scotland and only serve to divide our communities.

It is not the best of humanity, I think in many ways that demonstrates the worst of humanity.
