Education shouldn't be a mystery. We should know exactly what our kids are doing.

I am absolutely committed so that every young person in this country gets a quality education and can enjoy the fruits of their education, as I have.

A lot of kids in poorer areas can't do that, and they shouldn't be held hostage in poor-performing schools forever because they only have one chance to get that education.

It hasn't been a top-down approach; this was a bottom-up approach.
