I welcome, of course, our newest member to the Natural Resources Committee, Representative Maloy, who I haven't had a chance to meet yet.

We need to make it easier to build things and get stuff done, not more difficult.

I implore them to look past party lines. This is not simply an issue for Republicans.

I think this is a great opportunity for us to debate some bills that deserve an open hearing.

The Biden administration is aligned with the radical, anti-use eco-activists.

This is a terrible idea that will impact Federal policy decisions across the board.

I am grateful to him for putting together a list of bills here that I think encompass the greatness of our country.

This is a big week in Congress, of course.

The President does not have the authority to unilaterally shut down the border.

Let's find a way to get a technical amendment on there so we can get this bill across the finish line.

This Subcommittee truly is a workhorse of the Congress.

What they fail to understand is that all we want is a government that works for the people.

I am grateful to Representative Espaillat for his efforts to preserve a critical part of the American experience.

I would just encourage both the Chairman of the Subcommittee and the Chairman of the Full Committee that I don't know that we should be afraid of the debate.

I commend Representative LaLota for his fierce advocacy on behalf of his constituents.

I hope that this Subcommittee can continue to build on the investments that we made in the last Congress.

I guess what I am suggesting to you is, it seems like a simple amendment to Mr. Espaillat's bill that provides for the NPS to play a technical assistance role.

I think the more he gets out there, interacts with people, the better -- the better he'll do.
