The United States will not accept limitations on its missile defenses.

Russia will not be allowed to have a veto on U.S. missile defense plans, programs, and decisions.

This has to be one of the prime poster child for government contracts spun out of control.

Our duty on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee is to protect these rights.

If we are not going to use them, why have them?

Federal Medicaid spending as a percentage of the economy, according to the budget, will increase by 25 percent over the next decade.

It is unacceptable that a program that is the biggest line item in most State budgets and is crowding out essential spending in both education and public safety is barely addressed.

The President has made clear on numerous occasions that cooperation with Russia will not in any way limit U.S. or NATO missile defenses.

I have put these ideas forward in hopes of starting a bipartisan conversation on entitlement reform.

We will work tirelessly in partnership with citizen watchdogs to deliver the facts to the American people and bring genuine reform to the Federal bureaucracy.

My concern is I wonder if we actually learned any of those lessons.
