A robust 6-year highway program is something that I am very passionate about.

I would encourage or ask if there is any way we could like higher prioritize that.

Timber production from these forests are critical to the state's economy, but they are equally important for providing clean water, outdoor recreation, hunting, fishing and many other uses.

Protecting lands like these across the United States should continue to be a priority for Congress which is why I am proud to co-sponsor a bill this Congress to both reauthorize and fully fund this important program.

It is a mistake to assume that the only funding options we have are between land acquisition and maintenance.

I will do everything I can to make sure that funding for one of the most successful conservation programs will not lapse.

In the great State of West Virginia we know the importance of protecting our public lands.

How do you all categorize and pick the ones you think are most effective because we do not want to lose any.

As you may know, West Virginia is proud to be the third most forested state in the nation.

So you do not pick any one of the programs within your jurisdiction as far as one you are going to that you think has the most return and the most good for the people?

In 2007, West Virginia, our state, became part of the rural health care pilot program.

Because you do have some say in Medicaid. You don't have any say in Medicare, but in Medicaid you're doing this.

Doctors are handing it out like candy, and we've changed that from Schedule 3 to Schedule 2 and opiates.

We are not talking about it. We are not doing anything about it.

The VA is committed to ending veteran homelessness by 2015.

I urge you to favorably consider it.

The opiate road is horrific, not just in the VA, but all through society.
