The legislation before you today does not convert any public land to private property.

This affects all the residents in San Juan County, especially the children of the Navajo Nation.

So, to suggest that there was not a dialogue, you can point to President Obama. He never listened to us.

Another major burden for county government is the emergency services needed to support such a massive amount of land.

I do believe, in principle, that if you want the best result, you are going to look to the people at the most local level.

Once you do get to the schools, you understand that they aren't the best that we can possibly provide.

Having represented many parts of Utah, I am intimately familiar with the land, the people, and the issues.
