I, for one, am sick and tired of it, and thousands of children are in physical danger because of what you are doing.

I always appreciate the expert witnesses that we have for these Committee meetings and the value that you add for sharing with us what you think is important.

It does not appear so, based on what we are reading today in The New York Times, and seeing from numbers from your own office.

What is really important is that there is a regulatory framework, that it supports innovation and safety, and that it provides certainty for developers.

This massive surge began when you came to office. In your first year in office, first year, there was a 342 percent surge of unaccompanied children across the border.

You are not going to take any responsibility for the indentured servitude and exploitation of children that is happening on your watch.

The committee has a very busy and aggressive agenda this Congress that includes enacting commonsense policies for a more innovative, resilient, and efficient transportation and infrastructure network.

That is why I am calling on the committee to triple the funding for these reliever airports in urban congested areas to 2%.

Why do we not start with why you enabled it? Can we start with that? Why is it that you have enabled 345,000 children to be smuggled across this border and then sent into the hands of modern-day slave traders?

That is your responsibility.

Last year, I joined with my colleagues in the Quiet Skies Caucus in calling on the FAA to establish an advisory committee of 30 citizens who live in communities impacted by airport noise.

I have twice introduced the standalone legislation the Valley-Wide Noise Relief Act together with Congressmember Adam Schiff.

In my view, there is no treading water on trade matters. You are either moving ahead or you are losing ground.

If a challenge to reducing noise is rooted in deconflicting airspace, then we must hire more air traffic controllers.

We must provide local airports with the ability to disperse both arrivals and departures if they have proposals that can be implemented safely.

Both pilots had over 1,500 hours in that accident. And to correct for the record, too, it was not a unanimous vote within Congress.

We have multiple items that have to be reauthorized by the committee, which includes a 5-year reauthorization of the FAA.

We must restore local community control to the airports.
