I would think that, as we think about the policies that we want to have with regards to childrearing, that we would give authority to the parents to make that decision as opposed to an administration to make it for them.

A number of Republicans said--Senator Rubio and myself and others have introduced legislation that would provide for paid maternity leave, but do so without imposing new costs on taxpayers or employers.

At this stage, we are all here listening and, frankly, wondering why cannot we move as quickly as Russia and China.

I think it would be helpful to have that available to the--not only Congress but to the American people and the people of the world as to what our priorities are.
