The select committee will not tolerate defiance of our subpoenas so we must move forward with proceedings to refer Mr. Bannon for criminal contempt.

If former President Trump thinks he can get away with what happened on January 6, by being cute with his press releases, then he has another thing coming. Nobody is off limits to a subpoena from this committee.

We will put this before the United States House of Representatives, asks for a criminal referral. If we get the votes, the speaker will then transmit that document to Merrick Garland. And he has to do his job.

We think Steve Bannon has information that’s germane to what happened on January 6, and if he refuses the subpoena, like we expect him to continue to do, then we’re left with no other choice.
