I would just encourage both of you to consider when you are talking about interagency cooperation, do not forget those catalysts for public transportation.

I think that you have to couple that with the labor force participation rate to get a true picture.

I think about 90 percent of your budget is Federal funds. Is that not correct?

I think that is a better way to do it than losing them in that overall merger.

Without that, States just do not have the resources because they cannot hire the staff.

Make no mistake; I do not intend to solve all of the problems facing the dairy industry in the course of this one hearing.

A serious imbalance in the domestic dairy industry presents an imminent threat to the economic stability and welfare of American dairy farmers.

We respectfully urge you make generous purchases of dairy products as soon as possible for use in federal nutrition programs.

And I do believe it will be both administratively with the Obama Administration and the Department of Agriculture increasing their efforts, and there is more I feel that they can do.

We urge you to take all steps at your disposal to improve the effectiveness of the Dairy Product Price Support Program (DPPSP) to bolster the price of milk.

America's dairy farmers are some of the hardest working individuals feeding our nation and the world.

this crisis in the dairy industry is really putting it mildly.

At the very least, however, it did show that our ideas about where dairy policy should head are not irreconcilable.
