Continued oversight of agencies within our jurisdiction is one of our most important duties, and I am glad to have the chance to learn more about where GPO stands four years into Director Halpern's leadership.

Where do you advertise to find people to fill those positions?

I guess I am thinking you would have to go to an educational institution to be able to access some of that.

GPO's work is not always flashy, but the agency serves as the gold standard for government documentation and dissemination.

The program's creation and ongoing expansion pose a threat to taxpayers' freedom from government overreach, and its shaky rollout and structural flaws have already come at a steep price.

I think we need to have an emergency 24/7 backup capability that can't be taken out by surprise.

We've got to find a way to do that, and I'm going to be pushing this until we get resolution within DOD.

They've tried to present to me to how they feel it's survivable, I have not been convinced.
