I want to offer my appreciation for having the opportunity to use the legislative process and the, I think, intentions of the founding fathers that we come to this place to solve problems.

I hope that those who have had an extended visit with us today realize that we are serious about the multiple issues that are before us.

I do believe that we have a mixture of a fix or collaboration.

And so if you are restrained in this present structure, then we need to unrestrain you.

I think it is important to get all of the different deficits, the loss of revenue issues that are very important to our minority radio stations.

If the situation continues, I think legislation will be necessary.

How much money do we need to just reinforce? How much money is less on the table for American artists?

I thank you and I thank the Ranking Member of the full Committee for what has to be an important question on the economic survivability.

Can we all get along? I think Rodney King offered that suggestion some time ago.

I want to congratulate President Obama for listening and now accepting a bold mission for NASA.

I happen to be one of those who supported keeping the human space flight or the Shuttle going for a little bit longer.

I believe that, and Members, that he is an outstanding nominee.

the commitment that President Obama gave to the United States, to the electorate that Guantanamo would be closed.

We need bold leadership, and I am grateful that this bold leadership, the same kind that President Kennedy announced some almost 50 years ago.

I believe that someone who has been through the ranks, being an astronaut, seeing the toughness of what it requires, having the military experience is the right kind of leadership.

We will not truly transform the economy until we spur the private sector to action.

A cap on greenhouse gas pollution is the surest way to create jobs for the clean economy.

A cap on carbon pollution offers us a chance to create jobs.
