We have the reports. We have had years of talk. Now it is time for action.

I believe today's remarkable turnout reflects the fact that the opioid crisis is truly a national emergency that does not discriminate based on politics.

Now it is up to us, Republicans and Democrats, Federal, State, and local officials, researchers, policymakers, doctors, drug companies, health providers on the ground, and families of the faith communities.

So, at some point, Congress is going to have to make a tradeoff between what its spending programs are and what taxes it is willing to raise.
