Our water resources are precious in New Mexico. Without a reliable water supply, we cannot improve human health, protect our cultures and traditions, or grow economies.

I am strongly in favor of additional water development and believe that the project contemplated by this legislation will be a boon to the entire region.

The Citizens of our county have no control or oversight over tribal representatives, development, and countless other issues.

I just don't want us to forget, Madame Chair, that we are talking about people here and families.

The United States owes not only a federal trust obligation to these pueblos to protect the water rights of the Acequias and their members.

So it sounds like what States have done, they have a reporting mechanism that when there is a breach in security and data is compromised, that they are required to notify the consumer that may have been impacted.

I have certainly had constituents who have been directly impacted by the challenges that the national wildlife refuges, the parks along the border have imposed on people visiting those facilities.
