H.R. 1975 would authorize the Secretary of the Interior to take approximately 721 acres of land in San Diego County, California, into trust for the benefit of the Pala Band of Mission Indians.

H.R. 2088 would place approximately 76 acres of Federal land and 20 acres of permanent easements into trust for the benefit of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

This legislation will also authorize the Secretary of the Interior to take land into trust for the tribe.

I should think that we would want this kind of data so that we can really provide... effective support for our growing veteran population.

Moving forward, I expect VA to prioritize this and other items that advance equity and support for underserved and minority communities of veterans because attention to these issues is long overdue.
