I do think we have to take these lessons learned into a coordinated, whole-of-government approach, turn it into an action plan, like digitizing, so you can share better across agencies, being able to modernize our facilities.

We have to have a plan that is robust, coordinated, and humane and dignified.

Can you commit to having FEMA work with my team and see how we can build flexibility for State officials?

How can we ensure that funding reaches all communities and not just the largest communities?

I do appreciate your commitment to increasing funding for FEMA's Nonprofit Security Grant Program.

There is really over $42 billion going to States to help this connectivity.

This program is life changing for so many Tribal communities.

My biggest concern is to make sure that, at a Federal level, there is cooperation with Federal agencies.

Congress should really look at this situation, these State laws, and consider excluding tribal colleges and tribal lands from any State laws that prohibit public or government-owned networks.

We have heard similarly from Senator Murkowski as well.

It is the same thing I hear from the tribes in Nevada as well. That is good news.

We must ensure that the resources provided by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act reach our Native communities.
