Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Congress provided $600 million to support Federal wildland firefighters and to ensure they receive a minimum of $15 per hour.

They have done a great job thinking about parking and, same thing, visitor buses bringing people in.

I care deeply about this subcommittee and the issues that you'll be handling.

They need your help, as well, and again I appreciate your willingness to assist us.

The Administration is proposing once again to zero out important programs like the Bridge Formula Program.

I have a couple programs I want to talk about, but I want to just start with the budget here.

Combatting climate change and protecting communities from the threat of wildfire go hand-in-hand.

I am pleased to see that your budget requests build on the historic investments made in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act to improve the resilience of landscapes, reduce wildfire risks, support clean energy…

the environmental justice resources really do serve as a rising tide for everyone so that this country can be as great as it should be.

I just want to say, it is 2023. We got to figure this out.

If the cuts are implemented?

Maine's floating offshore wind research represents a tremendous opportunity for Maine and the country to secure our leadership position.

I think we are the first State in the Nation to do that.

the idea that so much of the waste that we produce ends up either in the ocean as plastic pollutions are all over the world, and no one wants our waste anymore.

I'm concerned that the budget does not provide any funding for these families.
