Data is a double-edged sword. When used correctly it can be an invaluable tool in focusing resources.

The current data infrastructure is not allowing for race and ethnicity to be collected.

We have a responsibility to address the water needs of our Indigenous communities.

I am very concerned that there are still delays that were created from the BIA in the previous Administration.

for every dollar paid to white men, Latino women earn only 55 cents, and Native American women earn only 60 cents

the Paycheck Fairness Act would prohibit these sorts of retaliatory bands where people are told... there will be a penalty if you do

I know that your experience can help us to move forward in this space.

The new unit will improve coordination within and outside of the BIA to make sure that we are not missing anything.

In my view, Congress has a moral and a legal obligation to fulfill the promises made to Indian Country.

the President has laid out an ambitious agenda.

this budget is a refreshing change from the draconian budgets the committee has received over the last 4 years.

the return of science as the foundation for decisionmaking, the focus on climate change, and maintaining healthy ecosystems, all through the lens of environmental justice.
