I've committed to fight against terrorism. Pakistan carries a huge burden confronting al Qaeda and Taliban together, but we are up to the challenge.

Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari expressed sorrow over the crash, offered condolences to the families of those killed and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Mr Zardari highlighted the critical need for unified efforts to combat transnational networks involved in human trafficking and migrant smuggling.

We must also remember that, alongside a strong defence, economic stability, political tolerance, national unity, education and development constitute the foundations of Pakistan’s strength.
