When the police are asking for it in the news, when judges are declaring the need for relief from the bench, it’s incumbent, in my view, upon parliament to take action, and to take action today.
Call for immediate parliamentary action on AI legislation.

Canada has made a decision not to move forward with the expansion that is scheduled in the Criminal Code of medical assistance in dying in circumstances where mental illness is the sole basis.
Advance requests would allow people at risk of losing their decision-making capacity to live out their remaining years, rather than being put in a position where they fear they have to take that decision prematurely.
