I regret my error in judgment.

At the time, I did not consider that these purchases made for legitimate parliamentary purposes would further private interests, as I receive no income from the businesses in question.

It was something that I chose to do because of the scrutiny that I was receiving from certain other parties.

I have since learned from this experience and will work closely with the commissioner's guidance going forward.
