There’s no excuse for those absences. He was literally in the building, or around the corner. He could have easily showed up and defended his government’s record.
Belarus is a communist dictatorship and its government has a terrible human rights record. The suggestion that Belarus would be a better trading partner than Canada is ridiculous.
