We owe it to ourselves — and we owe to our country — to try.

There are some words in there that are regrettable. Not identifying Hamas as a terrorist organization is, I think, a failure.

Suffice to say, we will take all reasonable measures to make sure kids are safe in this country.

I believe all parties should agree on the importance of these minimum safeguards.
