Canada can provide energy security and food security to India. And India can provide to Canada scale, talent, and technology.

Some countries will be quicker to move toward electrification and others will still mean decades of demand for LNG, for instance, certainly the way that Canada can produce it, sustainably and responsibly.

Ultimately, the terms proposed by the U.S. were uneconomic, unfair and ultimately, unacceptable.

It was always Ottawa’s plan A to diversify Canadian trade.
