But we also talked about issues that are important to Canadian workers and the Canadian economy.
We continue to do the important work Canadians expect us to do. We had a long, detailed meeting with Ambassador Greer and his colleagues.
Our preference was to find a deal that benefits both countries, we still believe that’s possible, but in the meantime we’re not waiting by the phone. We’re going to do the work that’s necessary to protect our own economy.
LeBlanc said “our job is not done yet” as he ducked into a car, dodging reporters’ questions on his way out of that meeting.
