I am particularly concerned about the recreation features of this bill.

I am unable to approve this bill because of two major objections.

Another specific provision of this bill which is objectionable is that it authorizes only $100,000 to be appropriated to carry out its provisions.

It would clearly be unwise to adopt such a policy in connection with this one project, before it has been decided whether adoption of such a general policy is in the national interest.

It is desirable to revise the existing salary schedules for these positions both in the Veterans Administration and in other agencies.

The United States Government supports it wholeheartedly.
