I think the perception would be helped if the wording in the policy was changed, as well.

I hear a lot from women about the access of childcare being a barrier to go to the VA.
I applaud and thank you for your efforts to put more into the Grant and Per Diem Program.
I hear so often from women veterans that you can provide all the service you want, but I have got to take care of my kids.
I am going to be offering an amendment to make sure that the Defense Department properly notes the combat experience on the DD-214s.
I am concerned that there is not any mandatory requirements, but we will continue to follow that.
