I am honored to represent America's nearly 70,000 Citizen Airmen as the Chief of Air Force Reserve.

We are proud of our continued dedication and support to not only contingency operations, but also to humanitarian crises.
Sequestration-level funding degrades our readiness, hurts our people, and strains our ability to train and equip our force.
I was told that personally by Jeff Jackson, the agent. All of this was illegal.
we will simply not tolerate substandard care for our veterans under any circumstance.
Jeff Jackson told me in person that he had personally reviewed such issues with leadership--and knowing and enforcing such regulations is what the DEA does.
when leadership complained that the DEA was hurting the care of 43,000 Veterans connected to the Jackson VAMC, he told them he was not responsible for improper care/narcotic polices--they were.
I had already sent emails in early June 2012 telling leadership, including Mr. Battle, that such a practice was illegal per the DEA.
we will investigate it and keep the pressure on VA until the problems are resolved
I am disappointed in the Fiscal Year 2013 recommendation to eliminate the Health Careers Opportunity Program, or HCOP.
