Basic and fundamental research is about good jobs and a secure future.

Cybersecurity is an area you can all study, right? Lots of good jobs there.

So it sounds like we need something akin to a continuing education program for everybody in various fields on the need to be aware of this.

Should there be some self-testing then on that so you have your plan and then you have tests that each agency is doing on their own, or do you have recommended policies on that front?

I look forward to hearing from our witnesses today about cybersecurity recommendations to help protect U.S. information systems.

1,000 of the recommendations have not been implemented. That's about 40 percent.

And so that certainly is a good growth area that people should be focused on, appreciate GW's focus on that and many of our universities in the region.

The provision directs the National Science Foundation to research the role of teachers and other mentors in girls' perception of and participation in science.
