Mitt Romney is an American politician and businessman currently serving as the junior United States senator from Utah, a position he has held since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Romney previously served as the governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007. He gained national prominence as the Republican nominee for president in the 2012 election, where he focused on economic issues and healthcare reform. Throughout his career, Romney has been known for his moderate stance on various issues, including his support for certain aspects of healthcare and education reform.
Having Barack Obama as the leader of the Democratic Party means that we're going to have to have somebody who goes up against him, who is not a long-term senator.
It's going to take a person who is himself an innovator, like myself, who has the experience to bring change to Washington.
Well, people across the country are saying that Washington is fundamentally broken and has to be changed.
I want to go to Washington to bring to Washington the kind of can-do, change experience that I have had everywhere I have been.

And with regards to Senator McCain, I think he was just wrong to vote against the Bush tax cuts twice.
