I think it is actually kind of the American way, but as I stated earlier, there are literally hundreds of companies that are in my district, in the energy corridor, and I have visited almost all of them, and not a single energy oil and gas executive has said anything disparaging about renewable energies moving forward.

The Public Record
If Houston is kind of loosely known as being the energy capital of the world, I kind of fancy myself as being an energy Congressman of the world, ma'am.
If we were able to miraculously snap our fingers, and if every single American drove an EV tomorrow, we would only decrease the demand of a barrel of oil by 8 percent.
I think it is clear that we are not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.
These timelines are really putting a burden on a lot of companies, especially in my district, that impacts us every day.
These minerals have to come from somewhere. If they aren't mined here, where will they be mined?
We have a tremendous need for materials to facilitate the green economy, to sustain our national security, to sustain our way of life.
But sadly, we are not currently mining any of these precious metals due to onerous permitting regimes, bad decisions made by activist administrations, and of course, endless litigation.
In the House Republican Majority, the Natural Resources Committee is making it a priority to travel throughout the country to where our constituents, families, and neighbors live.
The anti-development agenda of this Administration truly knows no bounds and has no shame.
This delay is intended to walk a line between promises to the billion-dollar activist ecosystem.
