I rise to speak on S. 3105, a bill to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 456 North Meridian Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, as the Richard G. Lugar Post Office. Senator Lugar left the United States Senate as the longest serving Member of Congress in Indiana history. During his time in the Senate, he was internationally recognized. Senator Lugar was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her Majesty the Queen of England even bestowed on him the rank of honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in honor of his work to make the world more secure from weapons of mass destruction.
