Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the reading of the amendment be dispensed with. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered. The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To strike the 2-year limitation on the small business tax credit for taxable years after the Exchanges open) At the end of subtitle A of title I, insert the following: SEC. 1006. REPEAL OF TAXABLE YEAR LIMITATION ON SMALL BUSINESS TAX CREDIT. (a) In General.--Section 45R of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as added by section 1421 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and amended by section 10105(e) of such Act, is amended-- (1) by striking ``in the credit period'' in subsection (a), (2) in subsection (e), by striking paragraph (2) and redesignating paragraphs (3), (4), and (5) as paragraphs (2), (3), and (4), respectively, (3) in subsection (g), by striking paragraph (1) and redesignating paragraphs (2) and (3) as paragraphs (1) and (2), respectively, and (4) by striking ``to prevent the avoidance of the 2-year limit on the credit period through the use of successor entities and'' in subsection (i). (b) Effective Date.--The amendments made by this section shall take effect as if included in the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to which the amendments relate.
