I certainly support the cap-and-trade approach and believe that is a reasonable way to approach it.

John Cornyn is a United States Senator from Texas, serving since January 3, 2002. A member of the Republican Party, he has held various leadership positions within the Senate, including serving as the Senate Minority Whip. Cornyn has focused on issues such as judicial appointments, immigration reform, and national security throughout his tenure. He is known for his strong support of conservative policies and has frequently aligned with the positions of former President Donald Trump.
I, obviously, am new to this committee and the Senate, but strongly believe that having a sound economy and good job creation is not inconsistent with having common-sense environmental rules.
I am inclined certainly to support a voluntary program if, in fact, it will work.
Are you satisfied that, as part of this program, that there will be sufficient standardized reporting systems to prevent double counting and other such problems?
The V-22 will save American lives in all military operations, including the global war on terrorism.
It is supremely ironic that at a time when we are justifiably concerned about the ability of North Korea to produce nuclear weapons, that America cannot.
I look forward to working with you to ensure that our nuclear weapons facilities receive the proper funding and resources they need.
Let me jump to another subject in my remaining time--maintenance backlogs at our Nuclear Weapons Complex.
