Individual responsibility is the answer, small business is the answer, and we quit burdening everybody with government regulations.

I have never heard anybody say that people in poverty are lazy.

Jobs are the answer.

The bottom line is we talk about roadblocks. Roadblocks to unemployment and hiring, frankly, is big government.

Government cannot get people out of poverty because it is on the backs of the burden of small business.

My experience has been that big government and regulations and processes choke the heck out of opportunities for the private sector to get engaged.

We think that, unlike the Administrator, there needs to be some certainty; there needs to be an extension of the deadline by at least 3 years.

I am from the private sector. I am from Texas. And I am all about jobs and business.

I believe the federal government has no role in it.
