The proposed price support increase in the bill is particularly unacceptable.

A member of the Republican Party, he previously held the office of Vice President under Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1989. Bush was a World War II veteran and served in various roles within the U.S. government, including as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 1976 to 1977. His presidency is noted for significant events such as the Gulf War and the fall of the Berlin Wall, as well as his efforts in foreign policy and international diplomacy.
This would undermine prices received by other livestock producers, and/or increase the cost of meat purchases and other efforts funded by the Government and dairy producers to ameliorate the effects on livestock prices.
H.R. 2837 would create counterproductive, inefficient programs by providing incentives to expand surplus production and then paving producers to reduce production.
I'm not interested in higher tax cuts [increases] on the American people.
All you have to do is go back a little further into history to understand why I'm saying this.
It was a privilege for me as President of the United States to have this time with the Holy Father.
There is no valid scientific, medical or food safety reason for this prohibition.
I'm just going to not leave here until every single member of NATO understands that.
