I know that I am very pleased that the Committee is addressing some of the issues here of the health care for women.
But I do think that this bill is important because it provides the type of guidance, as well as authorizes the resources necessary.
Thank you for holding today's hearing, and I certainly appreciate having the opportunity to be here to discuss the 'Women Veterans Health Care Improvement Act.'
I believe my bill will help the VA better meet the specialized needs and develop new systems to better provide for the health care of women veterans.
Well, importantly, the 14-day provision, in my bill, that was recommended by the Women's Advisory Committee.
I think that is something that I can discuss with Secretary Shinseki, working with Mr. Michaud, working with you, working with Mr. Brown on this Subcommittee.
