I helped lead a bipartisan, bicameral group of over 140 Members urging targeted, temporary, and equitable relief for cattle producers.
Farmers to Families works. It has been successful, and it is doing exactly what it was intended to do, connecting farmers to families in need.
Yes, I believe that is something that education leaders and educators would very much support.
Absolutely. We should reopen safely, and we should get students and teachers back to school as safely as we possibly can.
This is outrageous. Nevada currently is ranked 43rd out of 50 States in the amount of money that we have received from PPP.
Our recovery, which will take place over time, will be much more successful and will happen more rapidly because those businesses kept their employees on the payroll during this difficult time.
We have left too many organizations on the outside of PPP looking in, and so we need to adjust eligibility criteria.
I cannot stress how important it is that we continue to get assistance to our agricultural producers.
So the law in search of administrative efficiency, did provide for some categorical eligibility that meant that people who qualified for some programs like TANF which is quite difficult to qualify for, that they would be considered eligible for programs that are a little easier to qualify for like SNAP.
And it is my understanding that a number of states have really strained that categorical eligibility in all likelihood beyond what Congress intended into what we are now calling broad based categorical eligibility.
